Establishment of the First Orionine Lay Movement (OLM) Core Team in India

With great joy and gratitude, we are pleased to announce the official establishment of the first Orionine Lay Movement (OLM) Core Team in India. This marks a significant milestone in the life and mission of the Sons of Divine Providence in India, opening a new chapter of lay participation inspired by the charism of St. Luigi Orione.

Following a half-day retreat led by Fr. Vijaya Bhaskar at the Devarathayi Chapel, members of the Orionine Lay Movement gathered in a spirit of prayer, reflection, and discernment. Through meaningful consultation, names were prayerfully proposed for the initial leadership team that will guide OLM as it takes root and grows in service to our communities.

After careful reflection and with the opinion and consensus of the Delegation Council Fathers, the founding members of the OLM Core Team in India have been appointed for a three-year term:

This joyful moment is both a blessing and a sacred responsibility. As the founding leaders of the Orionine Lay Movement in India, they are called to lay strong foundations for its mission and vision, serving the Church, the Congregation, and all those in need with humility, wisdom, and steadfast devotion.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have generously accepted this call to serve. May their dedication inspire many others to embrace the spirit of Don Orione and continue the mission of love, faith, and charity, especially toward the most vulnerable among us.

We commend the new Core Team to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the maternal protection of Our Lady of Good Health.
