Jubilee Prayer for 25th Years of the Orionine Mission in India

Almighty Father, we give you thanks and praise,

for you have created this world

and called us to be part of it.

In your goodness, you inspired St. Luigi Orione

to enrich your creation with the fruits of his love,

a love that reflected and shared in your own.

With the help of your Spirit,

inspire us too to carry forward the work of our founder,

and to enrich this land with the flowers of your grace.

As we celebrate the jubilee of the first seed

planted in India,

we ask you to protect us in our mission

and keep us always generous and humble in your service.

May that seed, planted long ago,

grow into a great tree,

under whose branches the poor and the needy

may find shelter and peace.

May its fruits bring nourishment to many across our nation,

and may its roots grow deeper and deeper

until they reach your heart,

the only source of eternal life.

Keep us humble, Lord, in your service.

Do not let our failures and shortcomings

hinder the work you have begun through us.

Bring to fulfilment everything you have entrusted to our hands.

We ask this through the intercession of Mary, your Mother,

of St. Luigi Orione, your servant and our founder,

and of all our confreres, former students, and friends

who already share with you the glory of Heaven.
